PURPOSE: To smoothly pile up shape steels by mounting a retainer tool for retaining several rows of angle steels from above to each supporting lever, so as to prevent position displacement in a longitudinal direction of the shape steels at dropping time.

CONSTITUTION: Both end parts of several rows of angle steels C1, supported by each traverse base 5 of a traverse device, are supported to a pair of supporting levers 19 of constituting both end supporting devices, and a retaining tool 27 for retaining several rows of these angle steels C1 from above, in a condition that several rows of these angle steels C1 are transfer loaded to a pair of the supporting levers 19, is mounted to each supporting lever 19. In the case of first dropping down one end part of the shape steel C1 of several rows, since the other end part is restricted to move by retaining to the supporting lever 19 by the retaining tool 27, position displacement in the longitudinal direction is prevented. Thereafter, when the retaining tool 27 of the other supporting lever 19 is lifted to dislocate the supporting levers 19, a total unit of the shape steel C1 is surely piled up on the shape steel just below.
