PURPOSE: To provide an automatic playing device of an electronic musical instrument in which plural parts are simultaneously reproduced and automati cally played and the operability is made superior so that a beginner obtains the feeling of playing the parts using a simple operation and enjoys the auto matic playing.

CONSTITUTION: The automatic playing device of an electronic musical instrument generates automatic playing sounds in sychronism with a tempo for the parts other than the specific parts selected from plural parts. Note that the device is provided with a storage means 11 which stores automatic playing data to generate musical sounds of specific parts, sounding instruction means 14 and 16 which instruct the generation of sounds and a control means 10 which generates musical sounds of specific parts using the automatic playing data stored in the means 11 in accordance with the instructions given by the means 14 and 16.
