To facilitate the mounting of a key presser when an automatic playing device is provided on a keyed instrument.

A housing hole 60 is formed in the rear part of the shelf plate 2 of a keyed instrument, and a keying device 61 having electromagnetic actuators 63, 64 is arranged there, whereby a keying is performed by the electromagnetic actuators 63, 64 to perform an automatic play. A reed 3 for supporting a key 1 and a hammer action mechanism are arranged on the shelf plate 2 so as to be horizontally movable. A key presser 37 having a pressing part 139 situated above the shelf plate 2 is arranged in the housing hole 60, and the reed end 6 of the reed 3 is arranged between a support member 14 supported by the key presser 37 and the pressing part 139 of the key presser 37, whereby the vertical movement of the reed end 6 is regulated. The key presser 37 is fixed to the inner surface of the housing hole 60 and the lower surface of the shelf plate 2 by screws 130, 131. The bottom part of the reed end 6 makes contact with the support member 14 on a straight line laid along the direction where the reed 3 is horizontally movable.
