To provide an automatic press in which a material feed device is mounted on a bed so that the feed line height of a material can be regulated close to a bolster and a die without increasing the size of a press.

The height of a feed line A-A of a material 10 of a material feed device 9 is regulated by providing a recessed part 11 on an upper surface of the bed 3 between forward and rear columns 4, 4 on the feed side of the material 10 of an automatic press 1, and the material feed device is fitted to a bed close to a bolster 7 and a die 8. The load on a vibration damping device on which the press is erected is unified while the press is in operation, the fluttering phenomenon of the material to be fed is suppressed and no damages are induced in the material.
