PURPOSE: To provide the titled printer capable of printing such characters as year, month, day, etc. and other simple figures at predetermined positions of a copying paper, by a method wherein oscillation of a main body of a date type is synchronized with pressing-up of a pressing roller, and the type is stamped on the paper by clamping the paper between the type and the roller.

CONSTITUTION: A mechanism for reciprocally oscillating an oscillatable shaft for the main body 9 of the date type relatively to the feed position of the copying paper (o) is placed on the outside of a frame side plate 2 on the left side as viewed from the feed direction (x) of the paper (o). When the paper (o) having been subjected to copying is passed below the main body 9 of the type, the reaching of the paper (o) to a position just upstream of a printing position is detected, and the shaft 3 is oscillated counterclockwise. A stamper roller 63 is pressed upwards at a timing immediately before a type provided on the body 9 approaches to the paper (o).
