PURPOSE: To optionally change over a work stage according to a work, and to improve the flexibility of the schedule of an automatic processing, by equipping a composite work lathe, a transport device which transports a member to the composite work lathe and a control unit which controls the whole devices.
CONSTITUTION: A control unit 95 has a central processing unit 950 and operation panel 952, and a composite work lathe is equipped with an edge tip detecting device of an installing tool and the machine inside measuring device 954 of a work. The control unit 90 is input by an operation panel 902 and a teaching panel 904 to a CPU 900, a servo 909 actuating the transfer robot and arm of a transfer device and a servo 908 operating the movements of a pallet changer, traveling truck and fork are controlled by the CPU 900. The stocker position is controlled via a unit 914, a machine outside measuring device measures the work completion works dimension but is controlled via a unit 914, the reading and writing of the memory elements of each tool, jaw, hand and the memory element of each pallet are executed by read, write head controllors 916, 908 and read, write heads 917, 919.
