In an automatic programming device which uses shape data of steel materials as members to be processed for creating a processing program when obtaining a product by performing cutting to abut a first steel material and a second steel material at a predetermined angle to each other, arrangements of the steel materials and thickness in a predetermined location are recognized while inputting a loop for designating a location to perform abutment processing in the steel materials and a shape pattern of the abutment processing, a plurality of coordinates related to the location to perform abutment processing in the steel materials, and a plurality of modeling processes are performed using the calculated coordinates in accordance with the arrangements of the steel materials and the shape pattern of the abutment processing.
