PURPOSE: To receive a message without disturbing safe driving of a driver by changing over a mode changeover switch to the reception exclusive mode so as to output a message transmitted from an opposite station out of a speaker.
CONSTITUTION: When the mode changeover switch 14 is set to the reception exclusive mode position, then an automatic receiver 12 is driven and a car telephone set 10 is controlled to the reception exclusive mode. When a call is incoming from an optional opposite station to the telephone set in this state, a talking line of the telephone set 10 is connected automatically to the opposite station, and a message representing that the telephone set 10 of this side is controlled to the reception exclusive mode at present is transmitted to the opposite station. The message transmitted from the opposite station is outputted as voice from a speaker 22a automatically in this case, then the driver receives the message from the opposite station without being disturbed for the safe driving.
