PURPOSE: To feed water for boiling rice positively and in a short time by a method wherein a water tank part is formed in electrical insulation against water stored, and an external wall of the side is provided with an electrode plate, and internal wall of the base with an electrode to measure water for boiling rice and water for washing rice of less quantity than the water for boiling.
CONSTITUTION: At a water tank 57, water of set quantity for washing rice is measured by a water level sensor depending on an electrostatic capacity measuring circuit which measures electrostatic capacity generated on the side wall of the water tank 57 between water stored in the water tank 57 and an electrode plate 58 through an electrode 59. Volume of a rice measuring chamber 47 is set at 0.5go. Rice is carried to a rice polishing part 48, a conveyor part 52, and to rice washing chamber 37 one after another, where water for washing rice is fed synchronously with conveyance of 0.5go of rice, and after washed, is carried to and dropped into a boiling pan 32. A series of these operations untill the conveyance of rice to the boiling pan 32 is completed after repeating the desired rates of boiled rice/0.5go. Water for boiling rice of more quantity than water for washing is measured accurately by the electrode plate 58 and electrode 59 provided to the water tank 57, and fed to the boiling pan 32 by a feedwater pump 61 through a rice washing cylinder 38, and then rice boiling is started.
