Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an automatic saw blade change device for a band sawing machine, ensuring a safety for a work through the automatic change of a saw blade, and allowing a continuous automated operation of the machine.
CONSTITUTION: A tool stocker 47 stores a plurality of spare saw blades BS for a working saw blade BS layed around a driving wheel 23 and a driven wheel 25. Also, a changer provided in a cutting head 5 or the tool stocker 47 demounts and stores the working blade BS in the tool stocker 47, or automatically takes out the spare blade BS from the stocker 47 for the mounting thereof on a band sawing machine 1. At the time of changing the blades BS, the tool stocker 47, when turned and shifted, can be positioned in front of the cutting head 5. As a result, the operation of the changer for the blades BS can be simplified. In addition, space for shifting or changing the blades BS can be eliminated. According to this construction, a manday for blade change can be reduced, and space for the whole of the device can be saved.
