PURPOSE: To make it possible to position even a plate to be printed with a different dimension easily onto a printing stand by a method wherein the printing stand is rotated intermittently as well as a vacuum chuck mechanism is acted to raise a plate to be printed in a condition synchronized to the rotation of the printing stand.
CONSTITUTION: By using the printing stand 1 with a polygonal cylindrical shape, e.g., a hexagonal cylindrical shape, the base plate 7 attracted on the outer side of the printing stand 1 in the first time is moved to an opening part of a screen base table 10 of a screen printing mechanism while attracted and fixed to a predetermined position of the printing stand 1. The base plate 7 attracted and fixed by the operation of the second time is positioned to an outer peripheral side surface having the suction hole 6f provided thereto and the base plate 7 of the third time to an outer peripheral side surface having the suction hole 6e and the base plate 7 of the fourth time to an outer peripheral side surface having the suction hole 6d. As described above, if the base plate 7 is moved to the opening on the screen base table 10, cylinders 14...14 are lowered and a screen plate 11 held by a holding frame 12 on the base table 10 is contacted with the plate 7 and an ink is coated to the screen plate 11 to apply the screen printing.
