Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the method and device by which the eccentric deviation rates of winder bobbins are automatically measured and the defective and non-defective bobbins are automatically screened and separately housed simply when an operator charges the bobbins into a hopper.

CONSTITUTION: A cradle 5 provided with a chuck 4 having attaching and detaching functions and a rotating function at the front end is so constituted as to swing back and forth around a swinging axis 15 between both positions of a top bobbin clamping position A of a bobbin supplying section 2 and a measuring position B on a rotary drum 3. The bobbin is clamped by the chuck 4 in the clamping position A and is moved to swing. The bobbin is then rotated in the measuring position B and the eccentric deviation rate at the time of the rotation is measured by using a displacement sensor 7. The measured displacement rate is computed and compared with the displacement rate, the tolerance of which is previously set by an arithmetic control unit 8. The bobbin is dropped by opening the chuck 4 in the position during the course of swing back of the cradle 5. The defective bobbins and the non-defective bobbins are dropped and housed into respectively separate housing sections 9, 10.
