PURPOSE: To drastically shorten document setting time by continuing a job by resetting all the originals in a both-side document mode or a 2 in 1 mode and executing a finished document ejecting action in a quick mode different from the document ejecting action in a set mode.

CONSTITUTION: This controller is provided with a both-side document processing commanding means 101 which outputs a document exchanging signal based on the number of finished documents after transmitting information that the document is not inverted to an automatic both-side document feeder, and a both-side document skip controller 102 for commanding the finished document ejecting action under the control that the document is not inverted according to the document exchanging signal based on information on the number of finished document. After ejecting the finished documents under the control that the document is not inverted, the setting action of the unprocessed document under the control that the document is inverted is performed. In the case of the document having a finished document surface and an unprocessed document surface, the setting action of the front side is executed under the control that the document is not inverted because processing has been performed to its back side. In the 2 in 1 document mode, the finished documents are ejected two by two after ejecting the 1st document in a one sheet feeding mode first when the number of documents is odd, and when the number of the documents is even.
