Abstract:
To provide an automatic sewing machine which can accurately, effectively, and three-dimensionally sew together two pieces of clothing material with curved edges.
This sewing machine is featured by putting the cloth edge (210) of a clothing material (20) under control in such ways that based on signals from a sensor (46) that detects the cloth edge, a forward-reverse rotatable roller (30) is placed just before a sewing needle, and the clothing material (20) sandwiched between the roller (30) and a separate plate (5) is moved in a direction perpendicular to the sewing direction.
