Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission that allows improvement in drive response of an upper-stage shift clutch in shifting up the gear.SOLUTION: An automatic transmission 1 includes a transmission mechanism 2 and a check mechanism 3. The check mechanism 3 includes a check groove 322 engaging with a check ball 31 when a gear position of the transmission mechanism 2 is a neutral position NP, the check groove 322 having a slope angle α1 of a slope on an UP-side of an upper-stage shifting position that is set smaller than a slope angle α2 of a slope on an LP-side of a down-stage shifting position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4B
