Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission which can inhibit enlargement of the automatic transmission and increase of manufacturing costs even if shift stages further increase.SOLUTION: An automatic transmission 1 includes a first clutch CL1 and a second clutch CL2 arranged in parallel to each other in a direction along an extension direction of an input/output shaft. The first clutch CL1 has a cylinder 9, a piston P1, a driven plate 13, and a drive plate 14. The second clutch CL2 has a cylinder 10, a piston P2, a driven plate 16, and a drive plate 17. The cylinder 9 has a function as a spline part 23 that supports the driven plate 16 by spline fitting and a function as a retaining part 19 which restricts axial movement of the driven plate 16 and the drive plate 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
