Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous control upon breaking of car speed sensor by providing means for deciding abnormality of car speed detection when the vehicle is under abrupt decelerating condition and the brake is not functioning. CONSTITUTION:The square wave frequency of lead switch LS for car speed sensor is converted into a voltage level proportional to the frequency through F-V converting circuit 7 then the sharp variation of said voltage level is detected through differentiating circuit 8. An abrupt deceleration detecting circuit 9 will produce H signal when the output from the differentiating circuit 8 is higher than a threshold level. Upon decision that the output from said circuit 9 is due to the abrupt variation of the output from the car speed sensor, the abnormal car speed detection deciding circuit 100 will set the output to H or L if the output from the brake condition detecting means will show disabling condition of brake through on-off state of brake switch BS.
