Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enhance the rate of fuel consumption, prevent vibration, and have a smooth start of a car by applying the side brake when stop of the car and full closing of the throttle are sensed, by changing over the speed changer into neutral position, and by disengaging the side brake when the throttle opening has attained a specific value. CONSTITUTION:When stop of the car is sensed by a car speed sensor 2 and a foot brake sensor 5, the side brake 15 is put into its operating state, and when the full close condition of throttle is sensed by a throttle full-close sensor 3, the set position for speed changer 12 is changed to the neutral range. When the car is to start, the output of a throttle opening sensor 4 is compared with the reference value at a comparator 7, and if the throttle opening is over the reference value, the setting position of speed changer 12 is changed over to the running range side, and at the same time the side brake is released from operating condition. This can enhance the rate of fuel consumption, prevent vibration and noise, and also provide smooth start of the car.
