PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic vehicle steering control device capable of removing harmful influences such as a feeling of incongruity in steering and the instability of vehicle action caused by maintaining automatic steering control for guiding its own vehicle on a target traveling lane when a driver performs steering during automatic steering control or in a traveling state such as traveling on a road of a low friction coefficient.
SOLUTION: This automatic vehicle steering control device is provided with an automatic steering adequacy decision index calculating part 302 for calculating an index J for deciding whether automatic steering is adequate or not based on a steering angle δ and a vehicle velocity V and a target braking/driving torque calculating part 303 for inputting the index J and braking/driving torque T1 and T2 and calculating target braking/driving torque T based on these input information and the operation part 303 acts as a calculating part for calculating the target braking/driving torque T by changing the degree of contribution of a control rule for guiding its own vehicle to a target lane in accordance with the index J indicating the rejection of automatic steering and the increment of the braking/driving torque T1.
