PURPOSE: To store a file holder of any thickness properly by providing a nip conveyance means which nips an upper section of the file holder in such a way that it can move forward and backward freely and providing a thickness detection means which detects the thickness of the file holder in the vicinity of an inlet and outlet.
CONSTITUTION: In an automatic take-out storage device of file holder which is provided with a plurality of storage shelf units for storing a file holder 2 to be folded into two and a conveyance unit 3 which can move freely along their front and is provided in a hospital, the conveyance unit 3 is constituted by opening the front of a box type case 17 as an inlet and outlet. A nip conveyance means 18 which engages with an engaging hole provided in an upper fringe section of the holder 2 is provided in the inlet and outlet and the case 17 in such a way that it can move forward and backward. A plurality of storage boxes 19a, 19b for suspending and supporting the holder 2 one by one are provided in parallel, and a case thickness detection means 61 which includes a pair of sensor bodies 63a, 63b is provided in a space between an insertion plate 21 on the right and left and the storage boxes 19a, 19b in the case 17.
