Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance the degree of freedom of the design of an engine by enabling installation of an automatic tensioner into a narrow space while preventing the interference of the coil part of a torsion coil spring with a pulley.
CONSTITUTION: A holding cylinder 72 is provided on the tip, aside from a fixed shaft 37 for pivotally supporting the base end of an oscillating member 38 for pivotally supporting a pulley 43, and a coil part 50 is loosely fitted around this holding cylinder 72. A first locking part 74 of a torsion coil spring 49 is locked in a locking hole 76 formed on the oscillating member 38, and a second locking part 75 is locked on a locking pin 73, respectively.
