Abstract:

PURPOSE: To realize automatic coupling and release during travel only by adding a little change to the present fixation closed system.
CONSTITUTION: A specific section A for automatic coupling and release is set at a train route using a closed method, and a discrimination code ID is given to a train to be conducted with automatic coupling or automatic release, and it is registered at a ground station that the train emitting this discrimination code is a train to be conducted with automatic coupling or automatic release. When the train to be conducted with automatic coupling or automatic release has advanced into the specific section A, a signal to show the discrimination code is transmitted to the ground station, and the ground station decides that the train is the one to be conducted with automatic coupling or automatic release, when it has received the signal to show the discrimination code, and executes automatic coupling action or automatic release action while controlling a relative speed between the preceeding train T1 and the following train T2. Meanwhile, when a train that is not to be conducted with automatic coupling or automatic release has advanced into the specific section A, normal operation control is continued.
