Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent wear of a clutch disc, by switching off a clutch when a vehicle speed decreases to a first reference speed or less set as an idle vehicle speed, and switching on the clutch when the vehicle speed increases to a second reference speed or more. CONSTITUTION:A transmission mechanism 3 is connected through a clutch device 2 to an internal-combustion engine 1. An operating means 9 detects a speed change condition of the transmission mechanism 3, and computes an idle vehicle speed corresponding to a predetermined idling rotational speed of the internal-combustion engine 1. A setting means 10 operates to set first and second reference speeds as a reference in switching the clutch device 2 from on-state to off-state and vice versa according to a result of operation in the operating means 9. When an actual vehicle speed detected by a vehicle speed detecting means 4 decreases to the first reference speed or less, a control means 6 operates to switch off the clutch device 2. Therefore, when the actual vehicle speed increases to the second reference speed or more, the control means 6 operates to switch on the clutch device 2.
