Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission which can properly switch a switching mechanism without newly installing a detection device for detecting a rotation speed.SOLUTION: When a control part performs a backing preparation mode, the control part brings engagement mechanisms C2, B4 for setting a rotation speed of an input part to "0" into engaged states (steps 6, 7) after bringing an engagement mechanism C1 which connects an element fixed by a switching mechanism and the input part into an engaged state (steps 4, 5). In the other case, when the control part performs the backing preparation mode, the control part brings the engagement mechanism C1 for connecting the element fixed by the switching mechanism and the input part into the engaged state after bringing the engagement mechanisms C2, B4 for setting the rotation speed of the input part to "0" into the engaged states.
