Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission having four gear sets and three clutches, and having a more simple oil-pressure-supply oil passage for each clutch for downsizing the automatic transmission in the axial direction and preventing the transmission from having a larger size and being deteriorated in responsiveness of shift change control.SOLUTION: In an automatic transmission, outer rotation members 14 of first, second, and third clutches CL1-CL3 are integrated and engaged with a second sun gear S2. An inner rotation member of the first clutch is engaged with a fourth ring gear R4. An inner rotation member of the second clutch is engaged with a third ring gear R3 and a fourth sun gear S4. An inner rotation member of the third clutch is engaged with an input member 12 and a third carrier C3. In a drive source side, a first gear set PG1 is located in an inner periphery side of a second gear set PG2. In an opposite drive source side, a third gear set PG3 is located in an inner periphery side of a fourth gear set PG4. The third ring gear R3 and the fourth sun gear S4 are integrated.
