Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission which increases the degree of freedom of an engine operation point by controlling load of an engine and rotation speed by means of a motor/generator.SOLUTION: An automatic transmission includes an input shaft 1 which can be connected with an engine 5, an output gear 2, a transmission case 3 and a ravigneaux type planetary gear set 4. Four rotation elements of the ravigneaux type planetary gear set 4 of the automatic transmission are set as a single pinion side sun gear Ss, a carrier C, a ring gear R and a double pinion side sun gear Sd in the alignment order on a common velocity diagram. The single pinion side sun gear Ss is connected to a motor/generator 6 at all times, at the same time, the ring gear R is connected to the output gear 2 at all times. Further, by using a low & reverse clutch L&R/C, a high clutch H/C and a low brake L/B, such a configuration that a first variable speed level (1st), a second variable speed level (2nd), a third variable speed level (3rd) and a continuously variable speed level (eCVT) in which the variable speed ratio can be continuously variably changed are formed is provided.
