PURPOSE: To easily attain automatic channel selection by using a search coil so as to detect a leaked local oscillation frequency from other receiver in reception.

CONSTITUTION: In detecting the leaked local oscillation frequency from other receiver electromagnetically, the search coil 40 provided to a receiver gives an output, which is amplified (42) and the result is counted as a binary number by a frequency counter 44. Then an automatic tuning switch 46 decides the count time of the counter 44 for a prescribed time and a timer circuit 48 is operated by the operation of the switch 44 and the count of the counter 44 latches a latch circuit 50 when the circuit 48 gives a prescribed timeup. In supplying the output of the circuit 50 to a programmable frequency division circuit 32 as a channel selection signal, a phase locked loop PLL circuit 24 and a local oscillation circuit 26 apply tuning selection automatically based on a local oscillation frequency signal fetched in this way.
