Abstract:
To provide an automatic turnstile that allows for a simple configuration for processing when a ticket is inserted with the back side up, and improved maintainability.SOLUTION: An automatic turnstile according to an embodiment includes a reading head, a verifying head, a reversing mechanism, and a writing head. The verifying head is installed in a transport path on a release side from the reading head and reads the magnetic information on the ticket. The reversing mechanism is provided in the transport path between the reading head and the verifying head. The writing head is provided in the transport path between the reversing mechanism and the verifying head. The verifying head reads magnetic information on the ticket when the reversing mechanism reverses the front and back of the ticket while the reading head cannot read the magnetic information of the ticket, and when the writing head writes the magnetic information on the ticket.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
