To provide a door opening device preparing for an earthquake and enabling manual opening/closing in ordinary cases, capable of omitting a complicated unlocking operation by utilizing electric control.
This device is provided with a seismic detector 12, a touch switch 14, installed on an indoor side, for outputting an unlocking signal, a locking mechanism 5 for locking or unlocking a door 4, an extrusion mechanism 10 for extruding the door 4 in an opening direction, and a controller 13 for controlling the locking mechanism 5 and the extrusion mechanism 10 according to the signal output from the seismic detector 12 and the touch switch 14. The controller 13 brings the extrusion mechanism 10 into operation in order to open the door 4 after releasing the locking mechanism 5 in the case of receiving a seismic detection signal. Additionally, only the locking mechanism 5 is brought into operation so as to omit the unlocking operation of the door 4 in the case of receiving the unlocking signal.
