PURPOSE: To provide an automatic upsetting device for an ash squeezing pan by constituting said device in such a way that the molten Al of fine grains incorporated into the ash of the residual slag from an Al melting furnace is rotated and stirred in the ash squeezing pan and is squeezed out on the bottom surface then the removed residul is automatically and quickly discarded by upsetting the pan.
CONSTITUTION: An ash squeezing pan 1 is placed freely rotatably on a carriage 2 and the carriage 2 is advanced by an electric motor 31 via an endless chain 41 on a track 4. The hooks 16 attached on the top side in the front end part on both side faces of the pan 1 are engaged with engaging arms 5, then the hooks 16 are pulled downward to upset the pan 1 thereby discarding the residue. The chain 41 is thereafter rotated in reverse and the hooks 16 are forced upward naturally by the arms 5 to rotate and reset the pan 1 on the carriage 2 to the home position and the original attitude. More specifically, the residue remaining after the ash squeezing operation of the pan 1 of a high temp. is automatically and quickly discarded by the above-mentioned automatic upsetting device.
