Abstract:
To provide an automatic voltage regulator which can be mounted on a pole by employing a tap changer of air specification, without causing cost increase or up-sizing and without using an element of short life like a ventilation fan, thereby achieving contactless.
A solid state contactor 5 housing a thyristor constituting the main circuit of three phases, and a control section controlling the thyristor in one housing is used as tap changing switches Sa-Sc, Sd1, Sd2, and Ss. Solid state contactors constituting all tap changing switches provided in a tap changer are attached to the same heat sink 402, and a part of one sidewall of a housing box for housing the tap changer is constituted of the heat sink.
