A motor base 11 detachably mounting an operation box is installed to a lower frame 2b of a wallpaper pasting machine body, a motor gear 14 of the operation box is inserted into an insertion hole 11a formed in the motor base 11, the lower frame 2b has a two-stage gear 15 consisting of a large diameter gear 15a meshing with the motor gear 14 and a small diameter gear 15b meshing with a pasting roller gear 17, the large diameter gear 15a is arranged close to the inside surface of the lower frame 2b, the large diameter gear 15a is rotatably installed so that a part thereof is sandwiched in a space between the pasting roller gear 17 and the inside surface of the lower frame 2b, and the small diameter gear 15b is arranged on the motor base 11 side, whereby a distance between the lower frame 2b and the motor base 11 is reduced.
