PURPOSE: To standardize software for an inventory management computer equipped automatic warehouse facility by providing control means for performing a crane control and an inventory management at each automatic storage, and a management means connected with these for memorizing data of accepted loads and outputting the data to the control means at the time of withdrawal.

CONSTITUTION: If data of accepted loads are inputted through an operation panel at the time of arrival, a controller 15 searches an empty rack among memorized data, and outputs an acceptance command to a crane 7 and a load handling device 6. As acceptance work is completed, a completion reporting signal (g) including the article number, quantity, etc., of the load is outputted to a computer 16. This computer 16 renews load data in a corresponding automatic warehouse 1. For shipment, the computer 16 searches the automatic storage among inventory data based on a shipping demand and outputs a shipping instruction signal (h). In this constitution, the burden on the inventory management computer can be reduced, and software can be standardized.
