CONSTITUTION: In an automatic warehouse for storing and shipping at least one housing article case placed on the pallet to and from a rack part of plural lines of racks 4 composed of plural rack parts by pallet, and for performing storage and shipment by stacker cranes 3a to 3c provided every two lines of the racks 4, small size conveying machines 5a to 5d capable of taking in and out the housing article case by case are provided on the sides on which the stacker cranes 3a to 3c of the racks 4 are not provided.
