Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic white balance adjustment device that stabilizes an arithmetic operation for deciding gain to be multiplied with each chrominance signal at high speed. SOLUTION: The automatic white balance adjustment device of this invention is provided with an arithmetic means, that calculates a table number (Trg) that is a gain decision parameter from the intensity (Σg) of a reference chrominance signal, the intensity (Σr) of a relative chrominance signal multiplied by gain, and the gain (Kr(n)) multiplied by the relative chrominance signal and set with a gain calculation table where a reciprocal of a gain (Kr(n+1)) to be multiplied with a relative chrominance signal of a succeeding frame is expressed as an exponential function of its table number. By referring the table number (Trg) calculated by the arithmetic means, the gain (Kr(n+1)) to be multiplied with the relative chrominance signal of the succeeding frame is calculated.
