Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent yarn drawing troubles caused by sloughing or the like by providing a yarn detecting means for detecting the presence of the yarn between a defective yarn take-up preventing member and a bobbin.
CONSTITUTION: When sloughing or the like is generated by high speed take-up or the like, a preclearer 22 blocks the yarn from being taken up, causing end breakage. Then, the yarn end is not held by a yarn trap, but hooked on the preclearer 22, while a yarn sensor 23 detects the yarn in the position of a shaft part 25 of a balloon controller 24 to send a yarn presence signal to a control board 36 which commands an ending unit 12 to end under the requirement of yarn detection and yarn traveling absence detected by a slub catcher 7. An ending unit 12 ends a lower yarn hooked on the preclearer 22 to be caught by a relay pipe and an upper yarn of the package side caught by a suction mouth after defective portions are removed.
