To provide an automatic bundling machine for bundling steel bars and steel pipes being carried on a continuous line with a wire.

In bundling a bundle of the steel bars and steel pipes with a wire through the use of the automatic wire-bundling machine for the steel bars and steel pipes, while a twist head is rotated for bundling by a mechanism for clamping the leading edge and the tail of the wire, a clamp is released. Then the twist head constituting a main part of the automatic bundling machine which makes a bundle advances while slowly coming down. Thus a gap between the twist head position and materials to be bundled is kept constant.
