To provide an automatic worker tracking system which periodically calls a worker by telephone, preserves response information from the worker by voice, instantaneously asks a rescue unless the worker gives a reply and estimates the position of the worker.

The system is constituted of a computer 1 connected to a communication line network 6 and a portable terminal 4 carried by the worker. The portable terminal 4 carried by the worker is called from the computer 1 by set fixed time, response information obtained each time is preserved in the computer 1 as voice information, it is determined that an abnormal state occurs unless the reply is not obtained for calling, alarm is issued and the position of the worker is estimated, based on successively preserved voice information.
