PURPOSE: To prevent the adhesion of yarns to a touch roller by decreasing a drive motor control frequency for the touch roller to reduce a surface speed or cutting off a power supply for a touch roller drive motor to reduce the surface speed of the touch roller.
CONSTITUTION: A spindle-driven winder is used to control a spindle an a touch roller on the winding side via respective inverters. A winding speed of 4000m/min or higher is applied so that the surface speed of the touch roller is relatively higher than the surface speed of a package, and wound yarns are automatically switched to the other spindle. In this case, a drive motor control frequency C1 when the touch roller is rotated at a target winding speed, a drive motor control frequency C2 for the touch roller before switched and a drive motor control frequency C3 for the touch roller until the yarns are trapped on a bobbin to restart winding are set to satisfy an expression 0≤(C3/C1)-1≤0.90× [(C2/C1)-1].
