Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a natural filtration apparatus wherein a layer of a turbid substance being suspendedly retained on the upper face of a filter layer can be ground and washed through water ejection ejected into air from a nozzle of a surface washing apparatus arranged above the filter layer by discharging a raw water from a filter tank and exposing the surface of the filter layer.
CONSTITUTION: A pipeline 132 for drainage of direct surface washing water is provided in the neighborhood of the bottom part of a filter tank and a siphon pipe 130 for drainage of direct surface washing water is connected with a pipeline 132 for drainage of direct surface washing water and the upper end of the siphon pipe 130 for drainage of direct surface washing water is positioned below the upper face of the filter layer 26 and an air flow apparatus 134 for introducing air into the siphon pipe 130 and stopping the flow of water passing through the siphon pipe is connected with the upper end of the siphon pipe 130 for drainage of direct surface washing water.
