Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the size, weight, and cost and surely prevent a collision.
CONSTITUTION: While a reflector 12 is mounted on the rear part of the automatically traveling carriage 11 which is freely movable along a travel rail 10, three optical sensors 13, 14, and 15 are provided successively at the front part; and the optical sensor 13 at the center part is used for speed reduction by setting its optical axis in parallel to the travel direction, and the optical sensors 14 and 15 arranged at both the side parts are used for stopping by making their optical axes cross each other at a specific position.
