PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an absolute calibration by automatic operation without any error by judging whether the value of a count frequency ratio reaches a target value or not, calculating an update output voltage when the target value is not reached, performing vibration with the output voltage, finely adjusting the output voltage of a converter when the target is reached, and calculating the sensitivity as the achieved vibration acceleration when the output is the minimum.
SOLUTION: A vibration-generating device generates a vibration with a required, minimum output voltage. The frequency ratio between the frequency of the interference fringes of irradiation light for measurement being counted by a comparison counter and a frequency that is generated by the device is judged, thus judging whether a target frequency ratio has been reached or not. When it has not been reached, an update output voltage is calculated and a vibration is generated with the voltage. When a target frequency is reached, the output voltage of a photoelectric converter is finely adjusted, the detection output voltage of a vibration pickup to be calibrated when the output is minimized is read, and the sensitivity of the vibration pickup to be calibrated is calculated. More specifically, an absolute calibration is made in the target frequency ratio.
