To provide an automobile interior component of less-expensive manufacturing cost forming an intended high-class taste sewing line, and its method of manufacture.
There is provided an interior component 1 formed in a laminar form with a core member 7, soft pads 6 covering the core member 7 and synthetic resin covering member 5 covering the pads 6. This interior component is constituted by threads 4 arranged at a front surface 5a of the covering member 5 and a stopper means 10 for use in inserting a component 4a of each of the threads 4 into grooves 8 formed at the pads 6 through a plurality of through-pass holes 14 continuously formed at the covering member 5 and at the same time engaged with a rear surface 5b of the covering member 5 to prevent the component 4a of the thread 4 from being pulled off and some sewing lines are formed along the through-pass holes 14.
