Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile lateral reinforcement construction capable of effectively supporting respective loads inputted in a pillar with a simple composition.
SOLUTION: This lateral reinforcement construction has a reinforcement panel composed of a pillar reinforcement 26 for reinforcing a quarter pillar 3 and the like arranged in the lateral rear part of a body installed on the body in a vertically extended manner along the wall of a pillar inner panel 25. A flange 27 provided on the upper end of the reinforcement panel composed of the pillar reinforcement 26 is extended to the installation part of a roof side rail 11 arranged on both right and left sides of the roof 5 and connected to the wall of the rail inner panel 10.
