Abstract:
To provide optimum automobile parts as an alternative to iron and aluminum.
Automobile parts such as a cylinder head 12 and a head cover 34 are made of a material essentially comprising calcium carbonate contained in a shell or the like. By constituting automobile parts of calcium carbonate coming from natural products, an automobile can be made lightweight as well as emission of carbon dioxide can be reduced. As automobile parts made of calcium carbonate have a function of adsorbing combustion products or the like, degradation of oil can be suppressed. Further, as automobile parts made of calcium carbonate have excellent sound absorbing and vibration damping effects, radiation sound from an automobile can be reduced.
