To provide an automobile pneumatic tire, by which vehicle resistance is reduced, reduction of tire weight is achieved and riding comfort is ensured, and to provide a method of using the same.SOLUTION: In an automobile pneumatic radial tire, relationship between a tire cross sectional width SW and a tire outer diameter OD is optimized.
