To provide an automobile provided with a get-on/get-off device for a wheelchair having a falling prevention device with high safety for preventing the side part and rear part falling accident of the wheelchair from the wheelchair get-on/get-off device.
A side raised structure part 17 for side part falling prevention is provided on the side part of the get-on/get-off device 8, and a rear part shut-off device 1 for shutting off an upper space at the rear part of the get-on/get-off device 8 is installed at the upper part of the side raised structure part 17. The rear part shut-off device 1 is constituted of a hollow cylindrical rail 2 and an L-shaped cylindrical shut-off device 3. When the get-on/get-off device 8 is grounded and the wheelchair is moved between the get-on/get-off device 8 and a ground surface, the shut-off device 3 is turned to the side of the side raised structure part 7 and housed. When the wheelchair is on the get-on/get-off device 8 for getting on/getting off, the shut-off device 3 is turned, the rear part of the get-on/get-off device 8 is shut off, the back part of the wheelchair is protected and the side part and rear part falling accident is prevented. Also, a sense of security while getting on/getting off is provided for a wheelchair user as well.
