Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate the correct execution of rear wheel toe inspection based on a body. CONSTITUTION:This device 10 for inspecting the toes of automobile rear wheels 26 is provided with sensors 31, 32 for detecting the body side face parts of an automobile 11 driven into an inspection stage 12. The direction of a body 30 to the tester centerline X and its offset angle are detected by these sensors 31, 32. The inspection stage 12 is provided with rear wheel measuring units 40 for measuring the toes of the rear wheels 26, and the rear wheel measuring units 40 are connected to a control part 35. In the control part 35, the actual toe quantity of the rear wheel 26 based on the body centerline Y is computed on the basis of the measured value of the rear wheel toe detected by the rear wheel measuring unit 40 and the offset angle detected by a vehicle direction detector 36, and also the dislocation of toe quantity to the specified reference value is computed as the toe adjusting quantity.
