PURPOSE: To simplify a driver's operation, and also to improve a call quality by inputting an output from an attachment and detachment detecting device, using an output of a difference detecting device as a voice input signal, when a handset is installed to a pad, and using only an output of the first microphone as a voice input signal, when the handset is detached from the pad.
CONSTITUTION: When is detected by an off-pad detecting circuit 54 that a handset 13 has been installed to a pad 12, a CPU32 selects a loudspeaker 137, forms a secondary gradient narrow directional microphone by operating both of a microphone I 131 and a microphone II 140 provided on the pad, and sets a loudspeaker call mode. In case when an incoming has been received in this state, a calling tone is emitted from the loudspeaker 137. When the handset 13 is detached from the pad, the off-pad detecting circuit 54 outputs a signal of its fact to the CPU32, and the CPU32 selects the microphone I 131 and a loudspeaker 132, and sets a close-talking mode. however, the calling tone is outputted to the loudspeaker 137.
