An air cylinder 5 is operated first. When a switch is fitted below an accelerator pedal and the pedal is depressed, the air cylinder 5 is turned off, a V-belt 6 is loosened, and the shaft of a compressed air pump is not rotated. When the accelerator pedal is released, the air cylinder 5 is turned on, and the V-belt 6 is stretched. The shaft is rotated to operate the air pump, and air is accumulated in a tank. When the accelerator pedal is depressed, an accelerator rod 9 is operated, air is fed to an air turbine 1 by an air control valve, and a vehicle is traveled.
